Business Travel Accident (BTA) Insurance

Renovo provides you with BTA insurance coverage at no cost through The Hartford. BTA pays you or your loved one an accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) benefit if you are accidently killed or injured while traveling on a company assignment, including local business travel.

Coverage is equal to up to three times your annual salary, to a maximum of $1,500,000. Your dependent spouse is covered at $25,000 and your dependent child(ren) are covered at $10,000. The benefit amount paid is determined by the type of injury received. Certain exclusions apply. For example, you cannot receive a BTA benefit for any injury for which you are eligible to receive Workers’ Compensation.

Other BTA Benefits

Your BTA policy includes other benefits, such as:

• Family Relocation: A benefit is paid if your spouse or child suffers a covered loss at any time during a relocation trip while covered under the policy.
• Commutation: A benefit is paid if you suffer an injury while commuting to or from work.
• Family Travel: A benefit is paid if your spouse or child suffers a covered loss while on an authorized trip with you.

The benefit amount is determined by the type of loss incurred.

Supplemental Benefits

Additionally, your BTA coverage includes supplemental benefits. These supplemental benefits provide coverage for things like bereavement counseling, day care, education, medical emergency evacuation, rehabilitation, and other costs associated with a covered accident.
